Custom & Personalised Orders including use of Cherished fabrics are usually dispatched within 21 - 28 working days but if you require an order sooner please contact me before checkout and I will do my best to help.
The turnaround time for orders using customer fabrics will commence when I receive the fabric from the customer. I will confirm receipt of the fabric and give an estimated despatch date. Further details regarding sending your cherished fabrics can be found HERE.
UNITED KINGDOM DELIVERY
Standard items -
Items will be posted using Royal Mail Signed For 2nd class & expected to be delivered within 2 - 3 working days.
This service requires a signature on delivery.
Cherished fabric items -
Items will be posted using Royal Mail Tracked 48 which will provide a tracking service for your cherished item and expected to be delivered within 2 - 3 working days. This service requires a signature on delivery.
I choose to use a tracked service as items made with cherished fabrics are irreplacable if lost in the post.

All International orders will be posted using Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed (cost is dependent on parcel size & weight)

Royal Mail quote an expected delivery time for Europe to be 3 - 5 working days & Worldwide 5 - 7 days.

Every order is carefully wrapped in tissue before packaging securely for shipping.
Just Sew Helen is working towards environmentally friendly packaging and only purchases materials that are eco friendly & recyclable. However, I also recycle packaging that has been received with stock orders and this includes materials such as polystyrene pieces and, although not eco friendly, are recycled with further use when packaging picture frames. If you have an objection to this material please leave a message with your order or contact me HERE.
PACKING DAYS & TIMING
Orders are packed and posted Monday to Friday. If your order is urgent please let me know by separate email via the contact form and include your order number so that I can locate the order quickly.
For items posted using a tracking service (Royal Mail Signed For, Tracked 48 & International Tracked & Signed) I will forward the tracking details and source with the postage confirmation email. Royal Mail Track & Trace can be found HERE.
HOW I CALCULATE POSTAGE
I beleive the way I charge for postage is the most cost effective and fairest way to do it. No additional charge is applied for packaging.
UK postage is calculated volumetrically - that is by the size of the parcel and the weight combined, not just the weight as it used to be. UK & International Size & Weight Guides for Letters & Parcels can be found on the Royal Mail website.
OVERPAID POSTAGE IS ALWAYS REFUNDED
The shopping cart makes a good estimate of accurate postage costs based upon the weight of your products however as mail is charged by volume, not weight, it is sometimes hard to get the postage right. For this reason the shopping cart may under or over-estimate the postage. If the actual postage charge is much less than the estimate given at checkout for postage, packaging and handling, I will refund the difference to you by way of paypal or credit note.
CARRIERS AND DELIVERY
When your parcel leaves Just Sew Helen, a despatch note is sent by email. This signifies that the parcel has been packed and has been taken to the Post Office. After this time it is in the hands of the carrier and subsequently, in the case of overseas orders, the postal service of the destination country.
Just Sew Helen has no control over how long parcels sent by Royal Mail take to reach their destination. Usually within the UK, 1st class mail takes 1 or 2 days while Airmail to Europe and the rest of the world can take up to 10 days and longer for the USA. Customs can hold up parcels by a week or longer.
The customer is responsible for all customs duties, fees and/or taxes accrued when shipping outside the UK. Customs forms will be filled out with correct retail value and with an accurate description of the items bought. Orders over 2kg will be sent by courier (UPS or DPD).
WHEN THINGS GO WRONG
It is extremely rare that parcels go missing and there are a number of reasons why you may not have received your package within the estimated timescales.

Royal Mail does not consider mail to be lost or missing until 28 working days have passed. I will do all I can to help you but I am unable to re-send items before the Royal Mail has deemed them lost.
